DHAKA, May 03, 2019 (BSS) – Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul Hoque Shameem today called upon the students to work for the welfare of people as well as the country.
“When I was elected vice president (VP) of the Jahangirnagar University Central Students’ Union (Jucsu), the leaders of the then government’s student organisation set my room on fire. But, they couldn’t erase myself from the students’ mind,” he said.
The deputy minister was speaking at the second reunion of the Dhaka University Amar Ekushey Hall at it auditorium in the city, said a press release.
Amar Ekushey Hall Alumni Association organised the reunion.
