Three unexploded mortar shells found in Sylhet
SYLHET, May 2, 2019 (BSS) – Police recovered three unexploded mortar shells and one bullet in Sylhet Govt High School area today.
Officer-in-Charge of Bimanbandor Thana Juel Hossain said a group of laboures found the mortar when they digging in the school area for construction works.
On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the mortars in the afternoon, he said. “The shells might be from the time of Liberation War in 1971,” the OC added.
