DU suspends 52 students over exam fraud

DHAKA, May 02, 2019 (BSS) – The Dhaka University (DU) authority have suspended 52 students of the university and affiliated institutions, including medical colleges, for adopting unfair means in the admission tests and other exams, and violating discipline.

The decision was taken on Tuesday at the syndicate meeting, the apex body of the university that exercises administrative and supervisory control over the academic and administrative activities with DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman in the chair, said a DU press release today.

“The decision was taken to suspend the students on different terms for adopting unfair means in examinations and violating the rules of the institutions,” Professor Rahmat Ullah, syndicate member and DU law faculty dean told BSS.

Earlier, the Disciplinary Body of the university recommended suspending the students for violating discipline.
