Bankers can play role in boosting national economy: Khasru
Netrakona May 2, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock
Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru MP said here today officials in banks as well as other
financial institutions can play an important role in boosting national
economy.
He said bank officials through providing their transaction service networks
to the door-steps of the people can play a pivotal role in steering the
nation towards progress and prosperity.
He also urged bankers to discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and
honesty by keeping them above their self-interests to ensure a client-
friendly atmosphere which will be free from all sorts of irregularities and
corruption in the banking sectors.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of a new branch
office of Janata Bank Limited in Satpai area in the Netrakona district town
here today.
Chaired by deputy managing director of Janata Bank Limited Mohamamd Ismail
Hussain, the function was addressed, among others, by deputy commissioner of
Netrakona Main-UL-Islam and mayor of pourasava Nazrul Islam Khan.
