‘Police forces performing duties sincerely for combating militancy’
KHULNA, May 2, 2019 (BSS) – Khulna Metropolitan Police Commissioner
(KMP) Lutful Haque Kabir today said police forces are discharging their
duties maintaining highest professionalism to curb crime, terrorism,
militancy in the country.
He was addressing a view-exchange meeting with journalists of print,
electronic, online news portals at KMP headquarters in the city.
Referring to the various problems faced by Khulna city dwellers,
journalists urged the newly appointed KMP chief to take initiatives against
unauthorized battery-run easy bikes, illegal drug traders and terrorism.
The commissioner said police forces will intensify their drives and
patrolling for stopping terror activities including robbery.
KMP has already taken adequate security measures across the city for the
upcoming month of Ramadan to avoid any untoward incident.
Alongside intensifying security measures in different areas in the city,
special security measures have been taken in different gateways —
bus, launch and railway terminals — for rooting out militancy and terrorism
from the society.
