Speaker condoles death of Jahanara Begum
DHAKA, April 30, 2019 (BSS)-Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Jahanara Begum, wife of late Jahur Ahmed Choudhury, a former minister and founder member of Awami League.
In a condolence message, the Speaker prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the members of bereaved family.
Deputy Speaker Md Fazle Rabbi Mia and Chief Whip Nur-e-Alam Chowdhury also condoled the death of Jahanara Begum.
Jahanara Begum, also mother of Chattogram City Awami League (AL) Acting President Mahtabuddin Chowdhury, died of old-age complications at a private hospital in the port city this morning at the age of 95.
