DHAKA, April 30, 2019 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Jahanara Begum, wife of late Jahur Ahmed Chowdhury, a founder member of Bangladesh Awami League and former minister.
In a condolence message, the prime minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Jahanara Begum, also mother of Chattogram City Awami League (AL) Acting President Mahtabuddin Chowdhury, died of old-age complications at a private hospital in the port city this morning at the age of 95.
