DHAKA, April 29, 2019 (BSS) – Renowned comedic actor Anis Ahmed passed away at the age of 78 at his city’s Tikatuli residence on Sunday night.
Anis is survived by his two daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
Anis had a stroke on Monday night at his own house, which is located on Abhaydas Lane of Dhaka’s Tikatuli, his son-in-law Alauddin Shimul told BSS.
Shimul said his father-in-law was buried at his native village’s graveyard at Dagonbhuiyan Upazila under Feni district following three Namaz-e-Janazas (funeral prayers) at Tikatuli Jame Mosque, Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) and his Ballabpur village respectively.
Anis began acting in films in 1964. He had made cinema-lovers laugh through
four decades of his acting career.
