Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE) under the
Ministry of Labour and Employment has been implementing the project on 19
bighas of land with an estimated cost of around Taka 165 crore.

Upon its successful implementation, the institute will contribute a lot to
ensuring sound health and safety of all factory and industry workers.

DIFE Deputy Inspector General Mahfuzur Rahman Bhuiyan revealed this while
addressing a post-rally discussion here in observance of National
Occupational Health and Safety Day-2019 yesterday.

economy,” he said.

Abu Hayat Rahmatullah said the present government is committed to ensuring
occupational health and safety of workers.

In his remarks, Chamber leader Sadrul Islam said mechanisms should be
developed in each sector for providing information about health and safety
hazards for workers.

if workers have any possibility of being affected by it must be protected, he
added.
