Nasim urges people to remain vigilant over Jamaat’s new platform
DHAKA, April 28, 2019 (BSS) – Awami League (AL) presidium member
Mohammed Nasim today urged the people of the country to be watchful regarding
the new platform of Jamaat.
“We saw that Jamaat has formed a new platform to do politics… People
of the country should be vigilant for it as Jamaat’s new platform is being
carried out by the leaders of the Islami Chhatra Shibir, who has a hateful
history,” said Nasim, also the spokesman of 14-party.
He made the call at a press conference after attending a meeting
organised by 14-party at the AL central office in city’s Bangabandhu Avenue.
Nasim also urged the law enforcement agencies to become more alert
regarding Shibir so that police could know their motives and goals precisely.
He also announced that anti-militancy rally under the leadership of 14-
party will be held at division and district levels across the country during
the forthcoming Ramadan to make people aware of the adverse impact of
militancy and extremism in a country.
Nasim said the elected lawmakers of BNP have started coming to the
Parliament and expressed optimism saying the rest of them would come
accordingly.

Information and Research Secretary Adv Afzal Hossain and AL central working
committee member SM Kamal Hossain, among others, were present at the meeting.
