RAJSHAHI, April 28, 2019 (BSS)- Rajshahi University (RU) has clinched the championship in Bangladesh Inter-university Football Tournament- 2018-19 in its final match held here on Saturday.
In the tournament held at the RU stadium, Jashore Science and Technology University and Hazi Danesh Science and Technology University bagged the second and third positions respectively.
A total of 16 public universities, including the hosts RU, took part in the eight-day long meet.
Pro-vice-chancellors Prof Ananda Kumar Shaha and Prof Chowdhury M Jakaria, Proctor Professor Lutfor Rahman and Students Adviser Prof Laila Arjuman Banu attended the closing ceremony and handed over trophies to the winning teams.
