Ashraful set to play in England Domestic cricket
DHAKA, April 27, 2019 (BSS)-Former Bangladeshi captain Mohammad Ashraful is
going to play in Kent Premier League, a tournament organized by English
County Club Kent.
The 34-year-old cricketer who played 61 Tests, 177 ODIs and 23 T20
Internationals for Bangladesh will be part of Blackheath Cricket Club in the
tournament that starts on May 4.
“This year I will be playing in Kent Premier League for Blackheath Cricket
Club. The cricket season is almost four and half months there. I will be
available for whole time there,” he said while talking to the reporters
today.
Ashraful also played the England’s domestic league last year. He was in
fantastic form with willow in 40-over and 20-over cricket there.
Ashraful said in the Summer season, England’s wicket remains conducive to
batting, a thing which he enjoys very much.
‘It’s fun to play there in Summer season. The weather remains same like
Bangladesh. But the good thing is that the wicket becomes batting-friendly,
so it’s nice to bat there,” he said.
