As part of its long-term football development plan, BFF has arranged the
AFC Goalkeepers’ Level 1 Coaching Course.

The course has been organized to train better coaches in order to pick out
talented goalkeepers.

A total of 21 candidates from home and abroad are taking part in the course
against a total of 24 available seats.

Among the selected candidates, one is from India while the rest are from
various top-level clubs of the country as well as from district level.

The course features both theory and practical content under AFC guidelines
specifically designed to train the goalkeeper coaches to teach basic
techniques, plan effective training sessions and understand the role of the
goalkeeper coach within the technical department.

The course will include roughly two days of theoretical coaching and four
days of practical training as per the requirements of the modern game.

AFC goalkeeping instructor Dean May is conducting the course. This is third
occasion for Dean to conduct the course in Bangladesh after 2017 and 2018.

Besides, the experienced goalkeeping specialist was also recruited by the
BFF for the national men’s teams for a short term just a month back.
