FM signs condolence book at Lankan mission

DHAKA, April 24, 2019 (BSS) – Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen today
signed the condolence book kept at Sri Lankan High Commission here expressing
deep shock at the loss of lives in a series of suicide bomb blasts on Easter
Sunday in the island nation.

Mentioning Bangladesh government’s “zero tolerance” policy against all
kinds of terrorism activities, the foreign minister wrote Dhaka will continue
its cooperation with international community including Sri Lanka in curbing
terrorism.

He reiterated Bangladesh government’s commitment to play active role in
this regard.

Momen assured that Bangladesh will remain beside Sri Lankan government
and its people during this crisis.

The Bangladesh foreign minister also conveyed sympathy to members of the
bereaved families and wished early recovery of the injured.

Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Crisanthe De Silva was
present.
