RANA PLAZA-ANNIVERSARY
6th anniversary of Rana Plaza tragedy observed
SAVAR, Dhaka, April 24, 2019 (BSS)-Different workers’ organizations in the
garment industry today observed the 6th anniversary of Rana Plaza building
collapse that took lives of over 1,100 garment workers.
In observance of the day, leaders and activists of the workers’
organisations and relatives of the victims placed wreaths in front of the
Rana Plaza site at Savar in the morning remembering the victims.
Later, the worker’s organizations formed a human chain demanding capital
punishment of Rana Plaza owner Sohel Rana.
Over 1000 people died and at least 1,000 others were injured severely in
Rana Plaza collapse on April 24 in 2013.
