Seed, fertilizer distribution inaugurated in C’nawabanj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, April 23, 2019 (BSS)-Distribution of seeds and fertilizer among the small and marginal farmers of Chapainawabganj sadar upazila was inaugurated today.
The agricultural materials would be distributed under “Agricultural Incentives for Current Kharif-1 Season” programme.
A total of 3,000 small and marginal farmers of one municipality and 14 unions of Chapainawabganj sadar upazila would get the incentives.
Each farmer will get 5-kg of Aus seed, 15-kg of DAP fertilizer and 10- kg of MOP fertilizer.
These would be given for inspiring the farmers to increase the production of high yielding Aus paddy.
A simple function was arranged on the occasion at the auditorium of Chapainawabganj sadar upazila parishad.
It was held with the upazila nirbahi officer Md. Alamgir Hossain in the chair while deputy commissioner of Chapainawabganj AZM Nurul Hoque attended it as chief guest. Among others, chairman of sadar upazila Mokhleshur Rahman, additional district magistrate Debendranath Orao, vice chairman of the upazila Maolana Sohrab Ali, upazila agriculture officer D. Jahangir Firoj and farmer Yusuf Ali spoke on the occasion.
