Case filed against Sefayetullah for vilifying Holy Quran
DHAKA, April 23, 2019 (BSS) – A case was lodged under Digital Security
Act (DSA) today against Sefayetullah alias Sefu’Da, a Bangladeshi expatriate
living in Vienna, Austria, for vilifying Holy Quran.
Lawyer Md Alim Al Razi filed the case with Dhaka Cyber Crime Tribunal
and judge As Shams Jaglul Hossain asked Counter Terrorism and Transnational
Crime (CTTC) Unit to file report on May 15 after probing the case.
The plaintiff in his documents said Sefu’da, infamous for his foul talk
on Facebook live, vilified Holy Quran on April 9. He, like millions other got
offended by his act and decided to take refuge of law to bring the culprit to
justice.
