DHAKA, April 23, 2019 (BSS) – Two persons were killed and two others injured in a road accident at Matshya Bhaban intersection here this morning.
The accident occurred around 7.15 am when the driver of a passenger bus named ‘Swadhin Paribahan’ lost control over his steering and rammed a bus and two private cars simultaneously, leaving three persons critically wounded and one other minor injured.
After the accident, one passerby Manir Hossain whisked off the injured
persons to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where on duty doctors
declared two unidentified men presumed aged – – one 25 and other 60 – – dead,
our DMCH correspondent reported.
Two others injured – – Nur Alam, 30, and Shariful Islam, 20, — are
receiving treatment at the hospital.
DMCH police outpost inspector-in-charge Bachchu Miah confirmed the incident
saying the bodies were kept at the hospital morgue for autopsies as he could
not provide further details of the accident.
