Top Myanmar court rejects appeal by Reuters reporters: lawyer
NAYPYIDAW, Myanmar, April 23, 2019 (BSS/AFP) – Myanmar’s Supreme Court on
Tuesday rejected an appeal by two Reuters journalists jailed for seven years
on charges linked to their reporting on the Rohingya crisis, a defence lawyer
confirmed.
“Our appeal was rejected,” attorney Khin Maung Zaw told AFP. “They upheld
the ruling of the lower court.”
