Holy Shab-e-Barat observed in Khulna
KHULNA, April 22, 2019 (BSS) – The holy Lailatul Barat was observed here last night with due religious fervor and zeal.
Special prayers, milad mahfils, zikir and doa mahfils were arranged on the occasion in the city, district and other sacred places.
Religious discussions were held at mosques and other religious places throughout the night and foods, sweets and money were distributed among the poor and destitute.
Many devotees thronged city’s Town Jame Mosque, Baitun-Nur-Jame Mosque, Darul-Ulum Jame Mosque, Iqbal Nagar Jame Mosque and other important mosques and offered special prayers seeking blessings of the Almighty for the peace, progress and prosperity of the nation as well as the Muslim Ummah.
Many devotees visited the nearest graveyards in the city and district and offered Fateha for eternal peace of the departed souls of their near and dear ones.
The authority of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) illuminated and decorated all city graveyards including Tootpara and Basupara last night.
