Speaker condoles deaths in Sri Lanka blasts

DHAKA, April 21, 2019 (BSS) – Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury condoled the casualties of more than 150 people following a series bomb blasts on Sunday at the five star hotels and three churches in Srilanka.

In a condolence message, she expressed deep shock following a series bomb attack in the hotels and churches as worshippers attended the Easter Sunday in Colombo, Sri lanka.

“Series bomb blasts at religious events were an inhuman fact and it was an attack over world conscience,” Dr Shirin said.

The speaker urged world people to remain away from such of this religious extremism and any act of militancy and violence.

Dr Shirin conveyed profound sympathy to the people of Sri Lanka and her heartfelt condolences for the loss of lives at the incidents and prayed for early recovery of the injured, the message added.

Besides, Deputy Speaker M Fazley Rabbi Miah and Chief Whip Noor-e-Alam also conveyed profound sympathy to the people of Sri Lanka and prayed for the early recovery of the injured.
