BARGUNA, April 21, 2019 (BSS) – A total of 3,250 marginal farmers in Sadar
upazila got seed and fertilizer as incentive for the Kharif season under the
Agriculture Rehabilitation and Support Programme of Department of
Agricultural Extension today.
On the occasion, a meeting was held at the upazila Parishad auditorium in
the morning.
Acting upazila nirbahi officer Rubaiya Tosmin chaired the meeting while
officer of the Department of Agricultural Extension Md Motiur Rahman, Upazila
Agriculture Officer Md Towhidul, journalist Chitta Ranzan Shil and Shechcha
Shebok League leader KM Abdur Rashid spoke at the meeting.
Each of the farmers of 11 union parishad of Sadar upazila got five
kilograms of seed and 25 kilograms of fertiliser.
Sources at Department of Agricultural Extension, Barguna, said around
11,000 marginal farmers will get such incentives for cultivation of high
yielding paddy.
