One held with arms, ammo in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, April 20, 2019 (BSS)- Members of Rapid Action Battalion
(RAB) arrested an alleged illegal arms peddler with four pistols, eight
magazines and 26 rounds of bullet from Dadanchak village under Shibganj
upazila in the district this afternoon.
The arrested person was identified as Soibur Rahman Babu, 18, son of Rakib
of Tarapur village under Shibganj upazila.
RAB said, acting on detective information, an operation team of RAB-5 from
Chapainawabganj camp raided the aforesaid area around 12:15 pm and arrested
him with the arms and ammunitions.
Later, the arrested person would be handed over to the police of Shibganj
thana with a case, the sources added.
