Experts for launching ‘National Sustainability Reporting’
DHAKA, April 18, 2019 (BSS) – Experts at a seminar here today called upon the authorities concerned to launch ‘National Sustainability Reporting’ through the Industries Ministry for accelerating the ethical business practice and the sustainability of industrialization.
They made the call at the seminar on ‘Sustainability Today, Better Future Tomorrow’ at a hotel in the city, said a press release. Nordic Chamber of Commerce and Industries (NCCI) organised the seminar with the support of Norway, Sweden and Denmark embassies.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun attended the seminar as the chief guest while NCCI President Tareq Rahman presided over it. Swedish Ambassador Charlotta Schlyter, Danish Ambassador Winnle Estrup Petersen and Norway Ambassador Sidsel Bleken attended the seminar as special guests.
Humayun said Bangladesh has already achieved 8 percent growth through performing the Sustainable Business Practices. “Many factories of the country have already set examples in sustainable business,” he added.
