PRESIDENT-TOURISM-FAIR
DHAKA, April 17, 2019 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid will inaugurate the 9th Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF)-2019 at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) here at 4 pm tomorrow.
Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB) is organizing the three-day international fair in association with the Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, Bangladesh Tourism Board, FBCCI, Tourist Police, PATA Bangladesh Chapter and Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited.
State minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali will be present as the special guest while TOAB President Taufiq Uddin Ahmed will chair the programme.
Organizers said 10 countries, including host Bangladesh, will take part in the fair. The other countries are Nepal, Bhutan, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates, Philippines and the Maldives.
On the sidelines of the fair, a number of seminars, roundtable discussions and country presentations in various subjects of tourism will be held. The topics of two roundtable discussions are “Buddhist Circuit Tourism in the Region” and “1000 Years History and Heritage of Dhaka”.
The A2i programme will also organise a brainstorming session on “Innovative Digital Idea of Tourism” in collaboration with the TOAB.
