96 illegal structures demolished in Ashulia
DHAKA, April 16, 2019 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport
Authority (BIWTA ) today demolished a total of 96 illegal structures built
along the banks of Turag river in Dhaur Bridge area of Ashulia, the outskirts
of the capital.
The BIWTA team also recovered four acres of land driving out three sand
quarries, said a press release.
Besides, the team also collected Taka 22.44 lakh auctioning goods seized
during the drive. The BIWTA will continue its eviction drive along the river
banks, added the release.
