Two killed in Chuadanga brick kiln
CHUADANGA, April 16, 2019 (BSS) – Two workers were killed and another
injured as a chunk of mud collapsed on them at a brick kiln in Joyrampur
under Damurhuda upazila of the district this morning.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Hannan, son of Kala Chand Mandal of
Keshabpur village and Babu Mia, son of Lal Mandal of Bastopur village in the
upazila.
While describing the incident, Shofikul Islam who is currently receiving
treatment for his injuries said, “Like every other day, Hannan and Babu were
working at Sheikh Brick kiln, when, a chunk of mud collapsed on them around
7:30am.
The injured were admitted to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital, where on duty doctor
declared them dead.
The dead bodies were kept at the Chuadanga Sadar Hospital, said Dr. Shamim
Kabir.
