Shahriar urges teachers to perform duties with sincerity, honesty

RAJSHAHI, April 15, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, MP, has urged the teachers to perform their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty to build worthy citizens to take forward the country.

“Students must be grown as competent citizens as they are the future leaders of the country. And, teachers’ role is vital to build them up,” he said while addressing the annual general meeting of Secondary School Teachers Association of Charghat Upazila at Charghat Pilot School yesterday.

Association President Emdadul Haque was in the chair while Upazila Chairman Fakhrul Islam and local Awami League leader Anwar Hossain also spoke on the occasion.

State Minister Alam said the present government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is pledged bound to improve standard of education to create skilled human resources. Alam also told the meeting that the present government is committed to making the country’s education time-fitting through necessary reforms. Necessary change has been brought in teachers’ recruitment system as needed at present time.

Shahriar Alam said the country is progressing fast in every sector, especially in ICT, food production, power generation and distribution, education, women empowerment, foreign remittance earning, GDP growth and per capita income.
