DPL Super League from April 15
DHAKA, April 13, 2019 (BSS)- The Super League phase of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) is set to get underway on April 15 (Monday) with top six teams vying for the most coveted title of the domestic cricket.
A total of five rounds will be held in this phase after which the team with highest points will emerge as the champions. The points of the group phase will be carried here.
Each round comprises with three matches. In the first round, Legends of Rupganj will take Mohammedan Sporting Club to increase their lead in the point table at BKSP-3 ground.
Prime Bank Cricket Club will face off Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium while defending champions Abahani Limited will lock horns with Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the day’s other two matches.
Rupganj moved into the Super League with 20 points and are in advantageous position to win the title as their next rivals- Abahani Limited and Prime Bank Cricket Club are lying with 16 points, four points adrift of them.
Prime Doleshwar have 14 points while Sheikh Jamal and Mohammedan Sporting Club have 12 points. In the context of the point table, Rupganj needs three wins literally to seal the title.
