ARREST-SATKHIRA
63 held in Satkhira
SATKHIRA, April 13, 2019 (BSS) – Police in special drives arrested 63
persons including two drug traders from eight upazilas of the district in
last 12-hour ending at 8am this morning.
Police also seized 50 pieces of Yaba tablets and 500 grams of Ganja during
the drives.
Sources with the district police said they were picked up from different
areas of the district.
During the drives, Satkhira Sadar police arrested 13 persons including a
drug trader along with 50 pieces of Yaba tablets, Kalaroa Thana police
arrested 12 persons including a drug trader along with 500 grams of Ganja,
Tala Thana police arrested five persons, Kaliganj Thana police arrested seven
persons, Shyamnagar Thana police arrested seven persons, Assasuni Thana
police arrested 10 persons, Patkelghata Thana police arrested six persons and
Debhata police arrested three persons.
The arrested people are accused in several cases, including charges of
subversive activities, filed with different police stations in the district.
The arrested were sent to jail.
