BFF celebrate Intl Women’s Football Day
DHAKA, April 12, 2019 (BSS)- The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) on
Friday celebrated the International Women’s Football Day in city’s Beraid
Fortis Ground.
BFF President Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin, BFF women’s committee chairman,
FIFA council member and AFC member Mahfuza Akhter Kiron, K-Sports CEO Fahad
MA Karim, BFF technical and strategic director Paul Thomas Smalley, were
among others, present in the day-long program which included training session
in the morning and exhibition matches in the afternoon.
To mark the international women’s football day and to promote the
Bangamata U-19 Gold Cup tournament with the World Cup stars — Jessica
Hurtado and Katerin Fabiola Castro Munoz — the BFF has organized the
program.
Fifty three booters from Bangladesh national football team and 37
women’s booters from Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan were present there
to successfully conduct the boot camp.
Popular actress Jaya Ahsan was also preset there as the ambassador of
Bangladesh women’s football team. The presence of those persons and direction
motivated the women’s team.
