Living standard of people improving: Tajul
JASHORE, April 12, 2019 (BSS) – LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Md Tajul Islam today said living standard of people has improved significantly as the government has generated employment opportunities with adequate facilities.
“We have made huge development in other sectors side by side with creating employment facilities for the people which are eventually contributing to the national economic growth,” he told the inaugural function of extended upazila parishad bhaban at Monirampur in the district.
State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Swapan Bhattacharjee, Monirampur Pourasobha Mayor Kazi Mahmudul Hasan and officials of different organization concerned, among others, addressed the function.
Tajul said the government has nationalised 26,193 primary schools, 257 high schools and more than 333 colleges to ensure quality education over the past ten years.
Many educational institutions have been brought under Monthly Pay Order (MPO) for expansion of education facilities for all, he said adding that now teachers are enjoying dignified life as the present government has enhanced their salaries and other benefits.
