RAJSHAHI, April 11, 2019 (BSS)- A weeklong land development revenue fair
began here in the city aims at easing the land services and reaching those
towards the peoples doorsteps together with sensitizing the mass-people about
digitalization of land services.
Office of the district administration organized the fair at Boalia Land
office premises at Borokuthi area showcasing various land related services
and information.
Marking the land services week and fair the district administration also
brought out a rally in the city yesterday to create public awareness on the
issue.
After parading some of the city streets, the rally was ended at the fair
venue with participation of scores of people including service-receivers.
Additional Commissioner of Rajshahi division Jakir Hossain addressed the
meeting as chief guest with Deputy Commissioner SM Abdul Kader in the chair.
Additional Deputy Commissioners Nazrul Islam and Alamgir Kabir, Revenue
Deputy Collector Zishan Been Mazed and Executive Magistrate of Rajshahi City
Corporation Somor Kumar Paul also spoke.
Jakir Hossain said our land is limited its uses must be planned way. Utmost
importance should be given on misuse of lands.
He urged all concerned including the field level officers and staffs to
deliver land-related services to the people in a hassle-free manner through
ensuring accountability and transparency.
Jakir Hossain also urged them to become skilled enough to eliminate all
sorts of corruptions and red-tape complexities through delivering land-
related services to the people adopting the digitized e-management systems.
He told the meeting that the present government is very much strict against
corruption and none would go unpunished if he or she found to be guilty in
delivering land-related services.
