Delivering hassle-free land-related services underscored

RANGPUR, Apr 11, 2019 (BSS) – Government officials at a discussion have
called upon officials and employees concerned to deliver land-related
services to the people in a hassle-free manner ensuring accountability and
transparency.

They made the call at the post-rally discussion arranged on Wednesday
afternoon at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office premises to begin observance of
the Land Service Week and Land Development Tax Fair-2019 in the district.

Earlier, the district administration brought out a rally on the city
streets with participation of officials and employees of government
departments and offices, land-related service providers and civil society
members.

The week-long land development tax fairs were also simultaneously
inaugurated at Upazila Assistant Commissioner (AC-Land) Office, Union Land
Office and municipality office premises all over the district.

The people are getting land-related digitised services like e-mutation,
paying land development tax, submitting applications for Khas land and review
petitions of different land related cases and getting instant disposals of
the prayers in the fairs.

Divisional Commissioner Mohammad Joynul Bari addressed the discussion as
the chief guest with Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) Abu Taher
Md. Masud Rana in the chair.

Deputy Commissioner Enamul Habib, Deputy land-reform Commissioner Arzoo Ara
Begum, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Syed Enamul Kabir, Additional
Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Sharif Muhammad Foyezul Alam, Sadar Upazila
Assistant Commissioner (Land) Chhonda Paul and Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer
Ishraat Sadiya Sumi, among others, addressed.

The speakers suggested the land-related service providers to become skilled
enough to eliminate all sorts of corruptions and red-tape complexities
through delivering land-related services to the people adopting the digitised
e-management systems.

The chief guest said the present government is totally strict against
corruption with zero tolerance and none would be spared if found committing
corruption in the process of proving land-related services to the people.
