DHAKA, April 10, 2019 (BSS) – The Land Service Week and the Land Development Tax Fair-2019 began in different districts today with an objective to bring dynamism in land management and make people aware of their rights to land.
The theme of this year’s land Week is ‘Rakhbo Nishkontok Jomi-Bari, Korbo Sobay E-Namjari’ (our land and home will remain be protected, we will do e-mutation).
On the occasion a procession, organized by the Jhenaidah district administration, paraded different streets in Jhenaidah town. A discussion meeting was also held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner.
Deputy Commissioner Saroj Kumar Nath was present as the chief guest while Additional Deputy Commissioner Sadekur Rahman was in the chair.
Deputy Commissioner of Meherpur Md Ataul Goni inaugurated the Land Week and Fair at district land office premises today. He visited the stalls of the Tax Fair.
A discussion was also held in Meherpur town in which Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Md Towfiqur Rahman, Zila Parishad chairman Golam Rosul, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Masudul Alam and local Awami League leader KM Ataul Haque Lal Miah took part in the discussion.
To mark the Land Service Week, a rally led Deputy Commissioner Aslam Hossain brought out in Kushtia District Collectorate premises in the morning. A discussion meeting was also arranged in Kushtia town on the occasion.
The land Service Week and the Land Development Tax Fair-2019 was also kicked off in Joypurhat, Gopalganj, Manikganj, Jhalakathi, Lakshmipur, Debiganj in Panchagarh, Borgura and Narail.
