Workshop on construction management held

DHAKA, April 9, 2019 (BSS) – With the view to sharing and demonstrating the knowledge of construction management (CM) techniques, a workshop on “Bangladesh CM Workshop” was held here today.

Heerim Architects and Planners in cooperation with the Korea Trade Promotion Agency (KOTRA) organised the workshop at Hotel Intercontinental to display the advanced technologies which reduces time and cost of construction projects.

Additional Secretary Ahkter Hossain of Ministry of Housing and Public Works attended the event as the chief guest while Kim Jong Won, director general of KOTRA, was present as guest of honor, said a press release.

Dr Raquib Ahsan delivered the opening presentation about ‘Building Construction Industry in Bangladesh’ while Sahmsuddin Ahmed Chowdhury from RAJUK also spoke on the occasion.

While addressing the seminar, Akhter Hossain recalled South Korea’s contribution towards the development of RMG sector and civil construction projects in Bangladesh.

He also urged Korean companies to pursue smart city and township projects in Bangladesh.

In the seminar, Heerim, a Korean architectural design and construction Management Company, gave examples for successful construction projects.

The workshop will be an opportunity to help Bangladeshi companies to train technical experts and secure technical skills, said the speakers.
