Hussain-Uz-Zaman Chowdhury’s 2nd death anniversary on April 11
DHAKA, April 9, 2019 (BSS) – The second death anniversary of Hussain-Uz-
Zaman Chowdhury, a veteran journalist and former Managing Director and Chief
Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), will be observed on April 11.
Chowdhury died of respiratory and cardiovascular ailments at a city
hospital on that day in 2017 at the age of 83.
Khatm-e-Quran and doa mahfil will be held after Zohr prayers on the
occasion at his ancestral home at Dakhin Sotero Village under Chhagalnaiya
upazila of Feni, family sources said.
Another doa mahfil will be held at his Uttara Sector-5 residence after Zohr
prayers on April 11. His family has urged all his well wishers to join the
prayers.
Chowdhury, survived by his wife, three daughters, a son and a host of
relatives and admirers, was laid to eternal rest at the family graveyard of
his ancestral home, where he was born in 1934.
