DHAKA, April 9, 2019 (BSS) – Australia based business entity, Outotec South East Asia Pacific, has shown its interest to establish a sulfuric acid plant in the country.

A delegation of the Outotec South East Asia Pacific, led by its Vice President Chirs Ormston, today expressed its keenness during a call on with Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun at his office in the city, said a press release.

In the meeting, they discussed various bilateral issues, including trade and investment and establishment of new Triple Super Phosphate (TSP) fertilizer factory in the TSP complex in Chattogram.

Terming Bangladesh as an attractive destination for investment among the South Asian counties, Humayun said the government is taking different initiatives to attract local and foreign investors.

He suggested the delegation to submit a comprehensive proposal for producing the TSP and sulfuric acid. “If the proposal maintains the country’s interest, we will take quick initiatives in this regard,” he added.
