Jubo Unnayan arranges training on various trades for Gaibandha youth

GAIBANDHA, April 09, 2019 (BSS) – Training for youths on cattle and poultry farming, fish culture, nursery, horticulture and cow fattening have began here today aimed at development of local youths to help them finding income generating occupation.

Jubo Unnayan Adhidoptar (Department of Youth Development) has arranged the training programe at youth training centre (YTC) in which a total of 140 youths including women are taking part.

Under the program youths would be given three-month training on dairy and poultry farming, one-month training on horticulture and three-day training on cow fattening.

Deputy Commissioner M. Abdul Matin attended the inaugural session of the training program as the chief guest while Sadar thana UNO Uttam Kumar Roy, Deputy Director of Department of Youth Development Tofael Ahmed Khan, Deputy Director of Bangladesh Rural Development Board Abdus Sabur were present as the special guests.

Deputy Coordinator of the Center AM Khaled was in the chair and it was also addressed, among others, by senior instructor Jakir Hossain Mollah and journalist Sarker M. Shahiduzzaman.

Speakers urged the trainees to complete the trainings properly, avail the best opportunities of the program and apply the knowledge in income generating activities to make them self-dependent.
