614 extremists to surrender tomorrow

PABNA, April 8, 2019 (BSS) – About 614 extremists from 15 districts will surrender to the law enforcers tomorrow aiming to return to their normal life.

They will formally surrender their arms to the law enforcing agencies in presence of Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on the ground of Shaheed Advocate Amin Stadium in Pabna.

The local administration has already taken necessary preparation to arrange a function in this regard.

The extremists from different organisations, including Purba Bangla Communist Party, Purba Bangla Sarbahara Party and Purba Bangla Lal Pataka Party are allegedly involved in anti-social activities, including extortion, murder and kidnapping.

The government has taken initiatives for rehabilitation of the extremists so that they can return to their normal life. The extremists from Pabna, Natore, Sirajganj, Bogura, Rangpur, Joypurhat, Naogaon, Tangail, Kushtia, Rajbari, Khulna, Satkhira, Faridpur, Bagerhat, and Jashore will submit firearms at the function.

Tight security has been taken in Pabna district ahead of the surrender ceremony.
