MoU for agri-based AWS to be signed tomorrow
DHAKA, April 8, 2019 (BSS) – A memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be signed between the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Local Government Division tomorrow on the use of the Upazila Parishad’s land for establishing an agricultural-based Automatic Weather Station (AWS) in 200 upazilas of the country.
Upazila-2 branch under the local government division will organise the ceremony in its conference room, a press release said here.
Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives’ (LGRD) Minister Mohammad Tajul Islam will be present as the chief guest at the signing ceremony at 3 pm while Senior Secretary SM Ghulam Farooque will sign it on behalf of his ministry.
State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives’ Swapan Bhattacharjee and Secretaries of the concerned Ministry will also be present on the occasion.
