Fake magistrate placed on 5-day remand
DHAKA, April 8, 2019 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today put one fraudster, who
was caught yesterday while lobbying for a case to a judge in guise of a
magistrate at Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court, on five-day
remand.
Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury passed the order as
police produced Jewel Rana before the court and pleaded for placing him on
seven-day remand.
Jewel went to the chamber of CMM Zahidul Kabir yesterday and started
lobbying for a case identifying himself as a magistrate. But the judge
realised his fraud and handed him over to police.
