Liton’s six leaves BCB groundsman injured

DHAKA, April 8, 2019 (BSS)–A BCB ground staff was injured and needed five stitches on his chin during a match between Mohammedan Sporting Club and Prime Bank Cricket Club at BKSP-4 ground.

The incident happened when Mohammedan opener Liton Das struck a six over deep mid-wicket region as the ground staff, Jewel was enjoying his batting. The ball hit straight his chin and lips and some teeth were broken.

Liton however ran towards him after watching the groundsman fell into the ground. He thought the ball struck on his head but luckily he survived from the massive damage.

However Jewel was immediately taken to hospital and declared out of danger.

The incident caused a mental distraction as Liton was playing going great gun only to be distracted and was dismissed in the next over after scoring 36 off 35, hitting six five fours and one six.
