President mourns death of film comedian Tele Samad
DHAKA, April 6, 2019 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid today condoled the death of country’s noted comedian and film actor Tele Samad.
In a condolence message, the head of the state expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Tele Samad saying, “People of the country will recall his contribution to the fields of film and drama for long.”
President Hamid prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
The renowned comedian breathed his last at a city hospital around 1.30 pm today at the age of 74. He left behind two sons, two daughters, and a host of relatives, friends and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Tele Samad had been suffering from old-age complications for the past few years. He had a bypass surgery in the USA in 2017 and returned home in September the same year after recovery.
