Sunnydale clinch boys’, girls’ crowns of School Mini Handball
DHAKA, April 6, 2019 (BSS)- Sunnydale School clinched both the boys’ and girls’ crown of the Hurray School Mini Handball tournament (boys’ and girls’) beating their respective rivals in the finals held on Saturday at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium in the city.
In the day’s boys’ section final, Sunnydale beat Scholastica (Uttara) by 11-1 goals, while in the girls’ section final, Sunnydale defeated Scholastica (Uttara) by 14-4 goals to retain title of the competition.
Warid Shayer of boys’ section and Labiba Aga of girls’ section were was named the player of the match respectively for their impressive performance in the final.
Besides, Ideal School and College of boys’ section and Motijheel Govt. Girls High School of girls section finished third position beating Kadamatola Purbo Bashobo Sangsad by 9-7 goals and Shaheed Bir Uttam Lieutenant Anwar Girls’ College by 1-0 goals respectively in the third place deciding matches.
Bangladesh Olympic Association Deputy Secretary General Ashikur Rahman Miku was the chief guest in the final and distributed the prizes.
Bangladesh Handball Federation general secretary Asadsuzzaman Kohinoor presided over the closing ceremony.
