Five killed, 15 injured in Gaibandha road crash
GAIBANDHA, April 06, 2019 (BSS)-At least five persons were killed and 15
others wounded in a road accident on Dhaka-Ranpur Highway in Balua area of
Gobindaganj upazila in the district in the early hours of today.
Police and hospital sources said the accident took place when a Burimari
bound bus skidded off the road and fell into a ditch around 2.30 am.
Being informed, police rushed to the spot and sent the injured to the local
upazila health complex and Rangpur Medical College Hospital for treatment,
said Mehedi Hasan, officer-in-charge (OC) of Gobindaganj Thana.
The identities of the dead could not be ascertained immediately, the OC
said.
