RAB members rescue abducted homeopathy doctor from Tangail
DHAKA, April 04, 2019 (BSS) – A team of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-4 rescued Dr Monayemul Bashar, who was kidnapped from the capital’s Mirpur area, from Modhupur in Tangail this morning.
The RAB also arrested six members of the kidnapping gang in this connection.
The arrestees are M Abdus Salam, 55, M Alamgir Hossen, 18, M Fayez Uddin, 32, M Faisal, 18, M Abdul Halim, 52 and M Billal Hossen,38.
The RAB team rescued Dr Monayemul Bashar, a 40-year-old homeopathy physician, alive from Bhawal forest area of Modhupur in Tangail at around 6.30am today.
Acting on a tip-off, the RAB team began a drive on Wednesday and rescued Bashar, who was kidnapped from Mirpur section-10, this morning and arrested six kidnappers, said Senior ASP M Mizanur Rahman.
Besides, the RAB team also seized four mobile phones, SIMs and cash Taka 27,500, the money extorted as ransom, from the kidnappers.
