Ministries to get instructions about zero tolerance against corruption

DHAKA, APR 03, 2019 (BSS) – The government offices will soon receive implementation instructions about adoption of zero tolerance against corruption policy, as the official letters have been sent to all concerned.

It was stated at the first meeting of the parliamentary standing committee on the ministry of Public Administration here today, that official letters conveying 13 implementation instructions of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s “Adoption of zero tolerance against corruption policy” has been sent to the ministries and departments along with the Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners.

After an elaborate discussion, the committee recommended taking necessary steps to implement the policy and review the existing methods in determining the extent of damages and pecuniary value of a land in case of land acquisition.

Also, a recommendation was made to upgrade the land administration system into a modern one, a press release said.

Presided over by the Chairman of the committee, HN Ashifur Rahman, members of the committee Public Administration State Minister Farhad Hossain, Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali, ASM Firoz, Hafiz Ahmad Majumdar, RAM Ubaidul Muktadir Chowdhury, Dipankar Talukdar, Ponir Uddin Ahmed and Ferdousi Islam attended the meeting.

The officials of the Public Administration ministry, the land ministry and the law and justice department were also present, among others, at the meeting.
