Two killed in Netrakona road accident
NETRAKONA, April 3, 2019 (BSS) – Two persons were killed and two others
injured in a road accident at Shukhnakuri area under Durgapur upazila of the
district today.
Officer-in-charge of Durgapur police station Mizanur Rahman said the
accident took place on the Shamgonj-Birishiri road when a sand-laden lorry
hit a battery-run auto-rickshaw from opposite direction, killing a passenger
and driver of the auto-rickshaw on the spot and injured it’s two other
passengers.
The dead were identified as auto driver Lalchand Khan, 42, son of Abdul
Aziz of village south Lakhmipur under Durgapur upazila and Azizul Haq, 46,
son of Abdul Malek of village Laturia under Purbadhala upazila of the
district.
The injured were admitted to Durgapur upazila health complex.
A case was recorded with the police station in this connection
