KAU goes to academic activities tomorrow
KHULNA, April 3, 2019 (BSS) – Khulna Agriculture University (KAU) is set
to start its first ever academic activities tomorrow.
On the occasion, an inaugural function of KAU’s academic activities will
be held at deputy commissioner conference room here as Education Minister Dr.
Dipu Moni is scheduled to attend the function as the chief guest, acting
registrar of the university Dr Khondokar Mazharul Anwar said.
Later, an orientation function for the first year honours students will
also be held.
Earlier the university started its administrative activities 64 days ago
at a multistoried rented building in city’s Sonadanga residential area.
The first ever admission test for the first year honours students for the
academic session of 2018-19 was held on March 3 last.
A total of 60 students were admitted under two faculties. The faculties are –
Veterinary, Animal and Biomedical Science and Agriculture Science.
On September 17 last year, the government appointed Dr Shaheedur Rahman
Khan, Professor of Microbiology and Hygiene Department of Veterinary Faculty
at Bangladesh Agriculture University (BAU) as Vice-Chancellor.
